1 December 2023 – His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah witnessed the exchange of the collaboration agreement between Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC – Masdar, Pahang State Secretary Incorporated, and Tadau Energy for the development of a 2 gigawatt (GW) wind farm in Pahang during the opening ceremony of Malaysian Pavilion at the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC.

The signing of the collaboration agreement involved key representatives including, the Deputy State Secretary of Pahang, YH Dato’ Ali Syahbana bin Sabaruddin, the Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, Mr. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Masdar’s Head of Development & Investment, Mr. Abdulla Zayed, and the Chief Executive Officer of Tadau Energy, Dato’ Susanna Lim.

The 2GW wind farm will be built and developed in stages, with the first phase involving the installation of wind turbines with a total power output capacity of 100MW. The overall gross development cost for the first phase is estimated at RM800 million and targeted to be completed in three years.

The agreement between Masdar, Pahang State Secretary Incorporated, and Tadau Energy for the development of a 2GW wind farm in Pahang marks a key milestone for Tadau Energy in promoting and accelerating the development of renewable and clean energy globally.
